Off-site backup of your critical data
With your data and CheckMyBenefits.com off-site backup, you've made your information safe.

How?
We offer a free secure program which once installed can be easily configured. You pick the important files and folders you want to backup, once the information is selected then you set the time for the program to start and stop. The program can be used with any type of Internet connection; on a dial up connection the program uses your dial-up ISP, once a connection is established the application checks your existing files against the ones at the server, if they require an update, the file is compressed, encrypted and transferred. When the process is complete or the stop time is reached the application automatically stops and disconnects the dial-up connection. On cable or DSL connections the process is the same with the exception that the application doesn't need to initiate a dial-up connection.

Compare
When you use standard backup tapes, or other redundant systems such as a RAID-5 system, you still can be at risk. What happens when your business is struck by burglary, or natural disasters? If your not taking your data with you when you leave the office, you could loose a day's work, or more.

The cost to replace your data is far, far more expensive than you might think. Review the actual events that have occurred below, then compare the low cost in using CheckMyBenefits.com off-site backup.

Disaster strikes in many forms. Businesses that depend heavily on computer data are especially vulnerable. A recent study discloses that it takes 19 days and costs $17,000 to reenter just 20 megabytes of sales and marketing data. Accounting records are even worse; they require 21 days and the cost to your company will be $19,000. Here are some statistics:

October 26, 1996 Fire heavily damages the Brambles Information Management Center in Chicago... 220,000 boxes of archival and vital records information destroyed.

March 7, March 17, and March 19, 1997 Three disastrous fires at the Iron Mountain Record Centers in South Brunswick, NJ...200 companies affected, and nearly 1 million boxes of paper records destroyed.

May 6, 1997 Fire totals facility at the Diversified Records Services Center near Scranton, PA...Paper documents and microfilm stacked 45 feet high from floor to ceiling inside a steel building the size of a football field, burned to the ground.

Earthquakes have caused many types of facilities, including a nationwide off-site storage vendor's major warehouse in California, to be unfit for access due to loss of structural integrity.

October 26, 1996 A major fire in an historic building in downtown Lewiston, ID, housing the local FBI office, burns to the ground. Temperatures reach over 1500 degrees F and FBI data stored in a fire proof safe is lost, even though the tapes physically survived.
